sometimes after working hard all the day you feel exhausted and you don't have enough energy to continue your day, so these are some foods that can boost your energy:
- bananas: can provide you a lot of potassium, which helps maintain normal nerve and muscle function. Human body doesn’t store potassium for long periods of time. This means that your potassium level can reduce during times of stress or during hard exercise when the potassium is lost through excessive sweating. The sugar in bananas is easy to digest. Other fruits like apples, grapes, pineapples and peaches also make great energizing and refreshing snacks.
- lentils: are a great source of fiber, which leads to a slow release of glucose, as well as B vitamins, magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, zinc and copper. Lentils provide us both carbohydrates and protein, tha's why lentils are a perfect addition to any meal. Lentils help reduce your cholesterol and blood pressure, and they’re low in fat and calories to boot.
- almonds: increase your focus, improve your mind clarity and provide important fatty acids ( omega-3s and omega-6s ) which produce an alert mental state
- chocolate: increase your energy through certain compounds such as tyramine and phenylethylamine. Chocolate contains sugar, caffeine, fat and calories so consume in moderation.
- water: keeping your body hydrated is the best way to increase your energy (drink 8 to 10 eight-ounce glasses of water a day).
